Sunday Book Scan

I’m starting a new weekly posting, it will be blogged *hopefully* every Sunday.  I pretty much understand how tricky it is to find FREE good hi-res images when you need one.  I have been using Googled  images for quite a while and it’s about time I return all that  favors back.  For now let’s just call it, the Sunday Book Scans, till I could came up with a catchier phrase.
I decide to start this book-scan thing with the oldest volume in the vault.  Unless you’re a vampire, dear reader, this book is older than the age of two perhaps even three of us combine.  Given to me by one of dearest friend, it has become one of my most treasured possession and now I am sharing its beauty with you.

Book Title : Meteors, Aerolites, Storms, and Atmospheric Phenomena
Translation : William Lackland (from the French of Zurcher and Margolle)
Illustration  : Lebreton (23 fine woodcuts)
Publisher    : Scribner, Armstrong, & Co
Publish Date       : New York, 1874
